In the air tonight
February 2009
This installation consists of two capsules with fans and proximity sensors in its interior. The idea is that the visitor can feel the air, which changes intensity and alters the sound when they interact with it.
Different visitors can play with the other cones at the same time and the feeling of the air blowing harder gives the tactic feedback of squeezing the soundwaves of the music without actually touching anything.
The installation run a Max/MSP sketch controlled by an Arduino board and proximity sensors.
