Design is a game was a workshop in which we had to design a board game to create conversations around social problems that happen at work. Our starting dilemma was “communication problems between people in different departments”, and from there we recreated the common scenarios and its causes in a playful way so the players would reflect on how they could do things better at work.
We built four games and gave them to different people that worked together. The players had to give instructions to each other to achieve a common goal. After the gameplay, the players saw the similarity of the problems they encounter at work and started conversations comparing how the collaboration in the game could be fun and also applied to their work context.
