Ensa
October 2006
Ensa is a modular lamp that mixes the concept of illumination and furniture. It uses a Corian surface curved 180 degrees with a fluorescent in its interior. Its shape and translucency give an ambient light possible due to Corian's mechanical properties.
This project won the 1st Prize in the Spanish edition of the Corian Design Awards 2006.

Modularity
Its simple construction process gives you freedom to produce different lengths in function of the fluorescents available in the market.
Although it was initially conceived as a bookshelf, the modules can also be assembled with different structures to build the whole family.
Production
Its construction is simple. An aluminium sheetmetal is laser cut and curved to become its structure and all the electronic components are assembled on it.
A groove is milled on the Corian surface. The part is curved 180 degrees and is slided on the structure to close the package of the lamp.
Text and icons can be milled in the interior surface of the lamp to display icons or indications for hotels and offices.
